Job Description:
Salary: Main Pay Range + well-being cash plan + pension scheme (TPS) + additional Lift Schools benefits

Hours: Full Time

Contract type: Permanent

Start date: Easter 2025 or sooner
With you in our classrooms, we can change lives.
We are seeking to appoint a committed, driven and inspiring Teacher of Science (all subject specialists welcomed) to join our academy from Easter 2025 or sooner.

Ready for your talents to be nurtured?
Come and play a vital role in ensuring our students receive the education they deserve. In collaboration with colleagues, you will deliver outstanding teaching to every child, in every classroom, every day. At our school, we ensure that you have the time and space needed to get on with what matters most - educating - so we remove as much administrative burden from you as possible.
The successful candidate will work within a highly ambitious department. Operating from a purpose built and very well equipped Science block, our team consists of a group of talented specialist teachers and a full-time technician.
We recognise that Science education does not stop when students leave the classroom door. We have a number of strong partnerships with local businesses and other organisations who add to our offer outside of the classroom. These include strong links with our partners at ExxonMobil, who run the local oil refinery. Trips and visits are commonplace. For example, recently a group of our Year 8 students became real-life engineers for the day and were successful in winning the Institution of Engineering and Technology’s Faraday Challenge.
This is an opportunity to make a tangible impact on the lives of young people.
About our school:

Our passionate team of subject experts deliver chosen content through research-based, best practice approaches. We provide exceptional opportunities to develop the unique interests and talents of our students, and to prepare them for life in modern Britain. Strong relationships and first-class support across the community ensure that students are safe, happy and successful.
All staff receive high-quality support which enables them to flourish at work. They are provided with training and opportunities for impactful collaborative work which allow all to thrive in their areas of expertise. We seek to develop outstanding educationalists and leaders of the future.
