Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced and technically proficient Finance Manager. The ideal candidate will provide expert accounting support to ensure high-quality service delivery, contribute to process improvements, and collaborate across various business functions.

Salary £50,000 - £60,000 with hybrid working. 

You will be managing a team of 2 initially, therefore previous management experience would be a benefit. 

This is a great opportunity - the role is extremley broad and has the opportunity for somebody to make the role their own. 

Key Responsibilities:
*Deliver technical accounting expertise, ensuring consistency and quality in finance services, with flexibility to cover team activities as needed.
*Lead and manage process improvements, ensuring financial controls are adhered to, and regularly review, update, and communicate policies, procedures, and process notes.
*Prepare monthly management accounts to provide key financial insights, collaborating with internal teams to assess and communicate the company’s financial position.
*Oversee monthly balance sheet and payroll control reconciliations, ensuring the accuracy of financial statements, tax filings, and liaising with external tax accountants for tax-related matters.
*Assist with budget preparation and work with budget holders to produce accurate monthly reports and forecasts that contribute to cash flow management.
*Conduct monthly checks to ensure compliance with financial controls, reviewing finance policies and sign-off procedures, and addressing non-compliance with senior management.
*Collaborate with software support teams to produce and analyze financial reports, ensuring data accuracy and integrity, and promptly resolving any issues.
*Support year-end accounts preparation and the audit process, liaising with external auditors as required.
*Provide guidance and support to the Financial Accounts Assistant.
*Step in for the Financial Controller when needed.
Essential Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

*Qualified ACA / ACCA or equivalent, with solid technical accounting experienc
*Experience in engaging with internal and external stakeholders, demonstrating excellent communication skills.
