To support our progress, we are currently recruiting for a *Job title* to come and join our team at our *site/factory* in *location*
As part of the Shared Service Centre, you will provide credit control support to the Accounts Receivable team to manage debt collection and allocation of payments against open customer invoices across the Ibstock Group of companies.
Key Accountabilities
*Responsible for managing and controlling a section of the sales ledger across all entities
*Chasing overdue accounts and building relationships with customers
*Provide excellent customer service at all times and dealing with queries professionally over the phone and by email.
*Reconciling remittances and allocating customer payments accurately against their open invoices across multiple accounts
*Requesting changes to customer master records as needed (including Credit limits)
*Reviewing accounts operating close to their credit limits, utilising a variety of reports daily.
*Liaise effectively with sales offices and other internal functions when dealing with queries
*Obtaining additional documentation including Proof of deliveries and copy invoices to share with customers
*Ensure compliance to appropriate internal controls and adherence to company policies
*Provide support for testing of new AR processes and ad hoc reporting where needed.
Essential
*Self-starter and ’can do’ attitude who likes to get stuck in with challenging accounts
*Excellent telephone manner and communication skills
*A flexible and reliable approach to work
*Ability to work on own initiative and under pressure
*Effective management of working time and being able to prioritise tasks
*Excellent attention to detail, with a high degree of accuracy
*Experience of Microsoft office (particularly Excel) and experience with accounting software
Desirable
*Previous credit control experience
*Knowledge of basic bookkeeping
