Job Description:
Seeking a motivated Accounts Payable Clerk to help us manage all accounts payable functions. This role is critical in ensuring efficient and accurate processing of payments and maintaining strong supplier relationships.
Client Details
The client is a private equity backed renewable energy company specialising in creating district heating and cooling networks in the UK.
Description
*Performing Accounts Payable activities at month-end, including closing the ledger. Ensure all month-end processes are completed accurately and timely.
*Management of all supplier queries, making sure those are resolved promptly and effectively.
*Maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure smooth operations
*Create proposal for supplier payments, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
*Perform supplier account reconciliations to ensure accuracy and completeness.
*Process unmatched invoices to maintain an accurate accounts payable ledger.
*Reconcile credit cards statements to ensure compliance and accuracy in all credit card transactions.
*Propose initiatives to improve payment processes.
Profile
The successful accounts payable should have:
*Minimum of 1 year of experience in an Accounts Payable role, preferably within the energy sector.
*Proven ability to manage supplier relationships
*Proficient in Microsoft Excel; experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 or similar ERP systems is a plus.
*Good analytical skills with attention to detail.
*Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
*Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
*Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
