Job Description:
Are you a recent Psychology graduate looking to make a meaningful impact in education? Do you have a passion for supporting students with SEMH (Social, Emotional, and Mental Health) needs? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you!
Our school in Croydon, which caters for students with SEMH and challenging behaviour, is looking for ambitious, forward-thinking Psychology graduates to join our team in the new year on a full-time basis.
About the School:
We are a nurturing, inclusive school that provides support to students with a range of needs, including PTSD, anxiety, low self-esteem, and other SEMH challenges. Our dedicated team works collaboratively to create a safe and supportive environment where students can thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.
The Role:
As a Psychology graduate, you will work directly with Key Stage 2 to 4 students, providing support tailored to their individual needs. Your role will include helping students manage their emotional and behavioural challenges, supporting their mental health, and promoting positive self-esteem. You will work closely with our experienced team to develop strategies and interventions that meet the diverse needs of our students.
What We Are Looking For:
*A Psychology graduate with a passion for supporting young people with SEMH and related challenges
*Ambitious, forward-thinking, and eager to learn and develop professionally
*A strong communicator with the ability to build trust and rapport with students
*Resilient, empathetic, and able to remain calm and positive in challenging situations
*Experience working with children or young people is desirable but not essential
