Job Description:
Academic Teaching Assistant
*Job Type: Part-time and Full Time
*Location: South East London
*Salary: Competitive
We are looking for graduates or current students with a passion for passing on knowledge. This role is integral to the development of students who have fallen behind. You will be responsible for 1 on 1 tutoring of students struggling within core subjects such as Maths, Science and English.
Day to Day of the Role:
*Actively engage with pupils during lessons and activities, ensuring they participate and benefit from the educational experience.
*Provide targeted support in line with the UK National Curriculum to enhance pupils’ learning outcomes.
*Assess pupils’ social and emotional development regularly and report any concerns to the relevant parties.
*Use effective communication skills to collaborate with colleagues and maintain a cohesive learning environment.
*Manage classroom behaviour by implementing appropriate strategies to promote a positive learning atmosphere.
*Adapt teaching methods to cater to individual learning styles and needs, fostering a love for learning in each child.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
*Experience in a similar role or familiarity with diverse student needs is advantageous. Desired but not necessary.
*Patience, adaptability, and a genuine passion for education.
*A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
