Job Description:
Voted as one of the best places to work, this mega creative B2B agency is continuing to grow, and following more client wins, they need a savvy PR practitioner to bolster their PR team.
Many of their clients have been with them for over a decade, some for close to 20 years & this list includes major global names from as far away as the US & Oz, alongside some smaller companies, close by.
The culture is as grounded and supportive as you’d like and it’s a huge reason people stay and build long term careers. By prioritising their teams’ quality of life, they ensure they maintain their passion for the work, continually improving their skills and knowledge to create a better work/life balance.
The role:
They’re having an incredible year - hard to imagine in the current circumstances but having won several pieces of cross-agency business, they’re in an excellent situation moving forward. They value analytical and creative thinking and recognise that an agency is a partner that adds value, not a production supplier that represents a cost saving.
They want a long-term relationship, rather than chopping and changing to constantly drive down costs. Clients are exclusively B2B, but cover more specifically the built environment, construction, utilities, and engineering sectors, all of which are credible names in their respective industries.
We’re looking fora PR Account Manager who can really get to grips with the clients’ business managing PR and content activity from large scale reputation campaigns with national and trade media, through to targeted digital content campaigns focused on lead generation.
What we’re looking for:
We’re looking for someone with previous experience within a B2B PR agency who can demonstrate a passion for business-to-business work, and who has the savvy & confidence to be able to debate strategy with clients and to provide new and innovative ideas.
Everyone has input into their internal processes and systems & they like you to have opinions, and they want to hear them. They believe the team should know about the company’s performance and go through quarterly updates with all team members & best of all, you’ll be encouraged to treat worktime flexibly & they’ll give you the training and guidance to do that effectively.
They’ll support you to do your job the best you possibly can & they want you to constantly develop your skills and extend your potential. Professional development is an annual KPI for all their people, and you’ll receive a personal budget to spend on training to develop your skills. Throughout the year, they also run general training courses open to clients and staff, on skills like proofreading & storytelling.
What’s on offer?
Salary is c£38k, bonus, plus a supportive & collaborative culture - every year, you’ll have a two-stage review. The first stage looks at the past year; the second stage looks at the year ahead. You’ll also have monthly one-to-ones with your manager to discuss any decisions or tasks you’ve struggled with, what work has interested you, what has gone well, and many other things.
They want you to grow and move beyond the role you are in, and to know the client and their market, and they want you to understand enough to challenge them. You’ll also receive 25 days holiday plus they close for Xmas and if the company does well, so will you, on top of a very generous pension.
