Job Description:
We have a great new role for a Liability Loss Adjuster to cover the SouthEast of England from a home base (2/3 days at home per week with visits on other days). You will be responsible for investigating and managing a diverse portfolio of liability claims and will work closely with policyholders, insurers, and other stakeholders to assess liability, determine outcomes, and facilitate fair and timely settlements. This role requires a high level of autonomy, strong analytical and reporting skills, and excellent customer service.
Key Responsibilities:
*Investigate and assess liability claims, including personal injury, public liability, and employers’ liability cases
*Conduct site visits to gather evidence, interview witnesses, and evaluate the circumstances of incidents
*Liaise with policyholders, insurers, legal representatives, and other stakeholders to facilitate the claims process
*Prepare detailed reports outlining findings, liability assessments, and recommended settlements
*Negotiate settlements in line with policy terms, conditions, and regulatory guidelines
*Provide expert advice and guidance to clients and colleagues on complex liability case
*Maintain accurate records and documentation throughout the claims process
*Ensure all work is completed in compliance with industry standards, company policies, and legal requirements
Key Requirements:
*Proven 2/3 years’ experience as a Liability Loss Adjuster is ideal (otherwise, we would consider candidates from an insurance background with technical and complex liability claims experience)
*Strong knowledge of liability principles, policy coverage, and claims processes
*Relevant professional qualifications (Dip CILA/CII) or keen to undertake sponsored study
*Excellent communication and negotiation skills
*Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving abilities
*Proficiency in report writing and claims management systems
*Willingness to travel within the SouthEast, with a full UK driving license
