Job Description:
Group Reporting Analyst | 4 days working from home | £54k + car allowance
A large, highly successful, international, business are seeking to attract an experienced technical Accountant with a background to join their reporting team in a Group Analyst role. This role will mainly be remote but you will be required to attend the offices in central Kent once a week.
Reporting directly to the Senior Finance Manager, this role will focus on reporting and technical accounting. The Group Reporting Analyst is key in ensuring the processes and controls are operating effectively within the reporting team, particularly in relation to group intercompany recharges / matching and lease accounting.
Responsibilities will include
*Manage the Costar system and changes to leases; prepare data and journals for distribution to the European markets for inclusion in their financial statements (internal and external reporting).
*Support the Senior Analyst with all leasing items.
*Main point of contact for all group intercompany recharges.
*Manage the process for all employee recharges.
*Manage the intercompany matching process and challenge and investigate variances ensuring a quick resolution.
*Prepare the UK Holding Company accounts including the calculation and booking of interest and FX on all Intercompany loans
*Prepare the workings file for the UK statutory accounts, co-ordinate with the Tax Manager and Statutory Accounting Manager to obtain alignment on the numbers to be included in the external financial statements.
*Manage data improvement projects
*Liaise with external auditor where required.
*Prepare balance sheet reconciliations on a monthly basis ensuring the balances are accurate and adequately supported.
Essential skills required
*Qualified ACA or ACCA, practice trained or industry experience considered
*Good knowledge of IFRS essential
*Excellent communication skills and the ability to partner with senior stakeholders
*Very high level of accuracy & attention to detail required.
*Advanced Excel.
