Job Description:
Company client currently recruiting for a Finance Analyst to join our insurance client in London on a full time permanent basis. This team provides financial, accounting and regulatory services for one of this clients entities. In this team there is a flexible structure where you will work in various roles on multiple projects keeping your role broad. This role would be suitable for a graduate with a relevant degree.
The successful candidate will be working as a team across main areas of work. Liaising with other business functions such as Actuarial, IT , Claims and Underwriting.
Main responsibilities will include (not limited to) :
* Maintaining/monitoring the regular financial processes for this entity.
* Producing the monthly management account pack to support business decisions.
* Statutory reporting, including managing the external audit process.
* Regulatory and branch reporting (including Solvency II).
* Preparation and submission of tax returns.
* Ad hoc projects as required.
* Maintain a high performance culture through effective communication, teamwork and training.
* Maintain a good knowledge of accounting matters.
* Continuous improvement of financial systems, documentation and processes.
* Developing and maintaining strong relationships with internal and external teams.
To be successful you will also need the following attributes:
* Highly analytical with strong problem solving skills.
* Strong IT skills, with good programming skills or a keen interest in developing such skills.
* Ability to develop good working relationships across all levels of seniority.
* Ability to work on multiple projects at the same time, managing time and resources appropriately.
* Ability to take on various roles within a project team.
* To be comfortable with peer review (giving and receiving) and to challenge others’ work and opinions appropriately.
* Ability to present clearly to the team and management.
* To be able to demonstrate good communication skills both written and oral.
* Ability to document work appropriately.
