Role
Vennbridge’s client is a London-based hedge fund specialising in crypto and tokens. The firm is seeking an Investment Analyst to work with the main trader and the COO at the fund. Subject to individual performance and the satisfactory growth of the firm’s business, this role may develop with increasing responsibility for, and discretion over, the portfolio.
Responsibilities
Assist the Portfolio Manager in on-going investment research and monitoring of the portfolio by:
*Acquiring and maintaining a detailed knowledge of the digital assets that comprise the fund’s investment world, especially those that are current constituents of the portfolio.
*Monitoring price movements and relevant news flow.
*Developing and presenting investment ideas at the token and thematic level to the PM and investment team, and after discussion, undertaking any agreed fundamental and quantitative analysis to develop ideas to the point where they can be implemented in the portfolio.
*Assist with trading the portfolio, initially under supervision of the PM.
*Help with other routine and ad hoc tasks, activities and projects as may be required within a small investment firm.
Qualifications, experience and personal qualities required
*At least two years of professional experience in the finance industry, ideally in a front office role.
*Sound knowledge of the technologies of crypto, blockchain and DeFi.
*Knowledge of the markets on which digital assets and their derivatives are traded.
*Actual trading experience, even if only on a PA basis.
*Familiarity with data and news sources and analysis tools employed for crypto investment research.
*Detailed knowledge of and experience trading in digital asset markets even if only on a PA basis.
*Good quantitative, numerical and analytical skills.
*Diligence and attention to detail.
Compensation information
*£70,000 - £80,000 base with bonus range of 0% to 100%. Bonuses are paid at the sole discretion of the firm.
