As a Product Risk Advisor, you’ll obtain and analyse product information to determine the safety risk for each product type and identify the level of testing required to ensure only safe products are placed on the market through Currys group wide. ## **Role overview:** As part of this role, you’ll be responsible for: * Building a working relationship with the commercial teams to obtain product and supplier information to assess the safety risk * Monitoring the performance of suppliers to identify risk and to build confidence in good suppliers * Building a trusted supplier list and document reasoning behind trusted status * Monitoring the internal and government safety database to identify products or suppliers of concern * Supporting the development of a risk assessment scoring database and populate with the information for all SKUs (product codes) and suppliers * Working with suppliers to obtain the necessary documentation and samples for testing in a timely manner to prevent any delay to market * Supporting the Branded Evaluation Engineers with documentation checking and research into new product safety requirements. You will need: * To be capable of analysing data to determine the risk level of products supplied to the business * A thorough knowledge and understanding of product safety * Good understanding of current and developing technologies * Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal * Good IT skills including Microsoft Excel and Access * An awareness of the buying critical path would be desirable We know our people are the secret to our success.
