Property Paralegal and Administrator
The Firm
Brown and Co Solicitors is an experienced firm of solicitors based in Greenwich offering legal services across several specialisms, Wills and Probate, Residential and Commercial Conveyancing and Employment.
The Role
The ideal candidate will have some experience in Residential and/or Commercial Conveyancing. This will entail compliance with anti-money laundering rules, verifying title, searches, reports on title and post completion matters.
The candidate will also be expected to take charge of the administrative tasks in the firm such as onboarding clients, client management, recording incoming and outgoing post, posting mail at the end of the working day, booking appointments, manage access and use of the firm’s case management systems, cyber security administration, implementation of AI systems and other general administrative tasks (dealing with client correspondence, copying, storage, retrieval of information) throughout the firm.
The role is office based at 5 Greenwich South Street, London SE10 8NW.
Responsibilities
*Create and maintain case files in the case management system
*Management of documents held by the firm
*Administrative tasks/Copying/Storage/Retrieval of information
*Record incoming and outgoing post
*Deliver post to Post Office at end of working day
*Schedule and minute team meetings, and oversee reminders of 1-1s
*Onboarding clients in accordance with regulatory and firm requirements and using any online or manual tools provided by the firm
*Review and draft routine legal documents
*Apply anti money laundering procedures
*Verification of title
*Land Searches
*Conduct legal research
*Raising queries of seller’s solicitor
*Responding to queries of buyer’s solicitor
*Post-completion actions including dealing with requisitions/ Land Registration /Stamp Duty
*Implementation of the AI systems throughout the firm/Cybersecurity/ Data Protection
Qualifications
*Minimum 6 months - 12 months Conveyancing Experience
*Law Degree (LLB Hons) or a mixed law degree
*Proficiency in Microsoft Office and legal practice management systems
*A professional and client-focused demeanour with the ability to maintain confidentiality at all times
*Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritise effectively
*Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Interviews /Start Date
Interviews will start early January 2025 with employment commencement start 2 February 2025
