Job Description:
Reed Procurement & Supply Chain have recently been engaged with an instantly recognised brand which you will find in every supermarket around the country.
This brilliant employer has asked us to help them recruit a candidate to work in their new product development who is fluent in English & Mandarin.
Within this role you will coordinate with colleagues in China to support with production, seasonal spikes and new products being brought to market
Location = Redditch
Hybrid working = 2 days a week in the office, Tues & Weds
Salary = Up to £30,000 per annum
Day-to-day of the role:
• Taking inputs from the various project team members and helping to compile the product development briefs for suppliers.
• Organise the delivery of development samples from suppliers.
• Log, track and store the product development samples so they are readily available as required.
• Support with the organisation of mock up samples with the design team
• Assisting with the managing of approved visuals ensuring the latest designs are stored correctly in the product library.
• Creating and updating the product PowerPoint presentation
• Assist with checking the design iterations of the brochure, ensuring all inputs are correct (eg codes, text, colours)
• Assist in the generation of product/range PowerPoint style guides to support the supplier costing process.
• Checking the approval of technical elements of artwork against standards.
• Assist with the approval process at each stage of sampling
• Entering product details into internal systems
• Provide the appropriate product information to suppliers for their product set up
• As required, support the Technical & Operations team by ensuring they receive the required product documentation from our third-party suppliers.
• Various ad hoc administrative duties required by the business (eg arranging meetings and organising meeting set up.)
Required Skills & Qualifications:
*Proven experience in a product or design role would be advantageous
*Administrative or commercial support experience is essential
*Must be fluent in Mandarin & also a fluent level of English
*Computer literate with competency in Excel, Word and Power Point essential.
*This role will suit someone who enjoys a varied role.
*Confident, with good ability to communicate across the business,
