Job Description:
Salary: NJC 12 -17 (£14.36 - £15.58 per hour) + well-being cash plan + pension scheme (LGPS) + additional Lift Schools benefits
Hours: 22.5 hours (3 days per week), 39 weeks (term time only)
Contract: Part Time, fixed term contract until 31 July 2025

We are recruiting a Sports Mentor to join our friendly and supportive team. You will be passionate about ensuring all of our students access an excellent education, every day.
Within this post, you will support pupils who are facing difficulties in school because of issues related to social, emotional, personal, behavioural problems or other factors. You will help these pupils overcome their barriers to learning and fully engage with lessons to become more effective learners, and improve academic and pastoral progress through the use of sport, physical activity, forest school and in-class support.
This is an ideal role for someone who has some experience of the following:
*Working with children and managing situations relating to challenging behaviour
*Assessing pupils’ needs and barriers to learning
*Delivering programmes for pupils with challenging behaviour, including one-to-one, small group and whole-class activities
*Coaching and advising staff on suitable behaviour interventions
*Working collaboratively with outside agencies and participating in meetings
