Are you a talented Design Manager ready to tackle challenges in a power generation environment? Our client is looking for someone to join a dynamic team, where they’ll apply expertise across UK Sales and Projects Business, ensuring that the Projects are designed in a cost-effective way as measured by the management accounts.
Your responsibilities:
* You will oversee all engineering-related activities within the Sales and Projects department and be accountable for delivering individual projects on budget.
* Creating comprehensive mechanical, electrical, and process engineering design packages to support the design, construction, commissioning, operation, and maintenance of energy systems such as Combined Heat and Power (CHP) plants, Tri-generation facilities, Battery Energy Storage Systems, and emerging technologies.
* You will also provide technical input throughout the entire project lifecycle, from initial sales discussions through ongoing service support.
And a few things you should know:
* Proficiency as a process engineer with at least two years’ experience in power generation, process engineering, electrical distribution, building services, pipework and ventilation design, CDM regulations, and health & safety standards.
* A track record of successfully managing and developing technical aspects of energy projects.
* Demonstrated experience in leading engineering design functions in a safety-critical business environment.
* Prior experience managing a team of design engineers.
* Strong skills in resource planning and workload management.
* Competency in IT, including proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and familiarity with AutoCAD or equivalent design software.
