Job Scope:
We are looking to recruit a passionate and experienced Deputy Manager to join a newly established, compassionate children’s residential home. As the Deputy Manager, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the Registered Manager with the daily operations of the home, ensuring high standards of care are maintained in a secure, nurturing environment. Your leadership and supervisory skills will be essential in supporting the team, promoting best practices, and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations, particularly safeguarding.
In this role, the Deputy Manager will be responsible for developing and monitoring care plans, assisting with staff recruitment, training, and development, and managing resources. You will also be required to handle crisis situations, providing guidance to staff and young residents when needed.
The ideal Deputy Manager will have a strong understanding of child protection and safeguarding, as well as experience working within a residential children’s setting.
Do you have?
*Level 3 Diploma in Children and Young People’s Workforce or equivalent (Level 5 Diploma in Leadership is desirable or willing to work towards it).
*Minimum 2 years’ experience in a supervisory role within a children’s residential care setting.
*Excellent understanding of OFSTED regulations and standards.
*Strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills.
*Commitment to providing high-quality care and promoting positive outcomes for children.
*Full UK driving licence.
