FANTASTIC Teaching Assistant Job OPPORTUNITY - BRADFIELDS ACADEMY, Chatham, Kent
On behalf of Bradfields Academy we are looking to recruit a Special Needs Teaching Assistant to join their dedicated team.
To start, 20 January 2025 or as soon as possible with notice periods - Mon - Frid 31.8 hours per week, term time plus 5 Staff Development Days
Closing Date: 12pm Friday 10 January 2025. Interviews will be held W/C 13 January 2025 (we reserve the right to interview earlier than the closing date) To apply email for an application form.
The Academy based in Medway, is a leading centre of excellence in the Special Education sector.
Required - Teaching Assistants who are passionate and experienced working with students with learning disabilities and complex needs wanting to make a difference to the students’ lives. You will be responsible for providing a dynamic range of support for students with a range of special educational needs both inside and out of the classroom. Students are aged from 4 - 19 years. You will ensure all students can thrive and fully develop their social, cognitive and emotional skills, working alongside the teacher to be a role model and guide; to motivate and enable all students to achieve whilst having high expectations for the behavioural and intellectual development of each learner.
Within this position it is ideal if you are experienced and knowledgeable to work with learners with special needs; a relevant Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant certification and/or SEND qualifications would be advantageous from care or school work based experience. Previous experience working with moderate to complex learning difficulties within the 4 - 19 age range would be an advantage. You will have a great work ethic, patience with a calming presence and keen to be involved in all aspects of the academy community.
