We are now looking for a Pre-Construction Design Assistant to join us on a full-time, permanent basis, working 7.30 am - 4.30 pm, Monday to Friday.

The Role
As a Pre-Construction Design Assistant, you will create design solutions for our balcony construction projects.
On a day-to-day basis, you will support departments across the business with design and technical solutions. You will work with the Pre-Construction Team to support technical responses to questions from clients and deliver overall design support at all stages of a project.
You will produce everything from concept sketches to fully resolved 2D and 3D solutions and support our Estimators with costing advice. Developing in-depth knowledge of our current products, you will also assist with innovative ideas and solutions that support our business moving forwards.
As part of your role, you will occasionally be required to undertake site visits.
About You
To be considered as a Pre-Construction Design Assistant, you will need:
- At least two years’ experience in Computer-Aided Design, using AutoCAD, Inventor and other 3D design software
- Technical knowledge of fabricated steel and aluminium products and processes
- Confidence in creating and submitting complete design solutions
- Proactive, solution oriented and able to think outside the box.
- The ability to take a concise but detailed approach in capturing requirements.
- The ability to work as part of a team but be able to successfully plan and complete tasks with minimal guidance and support when required
- The ability to work remotely and use various on-line meeting and collaborative IT platform
