Job Overview:

As a Supply Teacher, you will oversee lessons during staff absences, ensuring students remain engaged and on task while following pre-set lesson plans. You will play a key role in maintaining a positive, supportive learning environment in collaboration with teaching and support staff.
Key Responsibilities:
*Supervise students during lessons, ensuring they stay focused and follow pre-planned lesson objectives.
*Manage classroom behavior effectively to create a respectful and productive learning environment.
*Support students with their tasks and provide additional guidance as required.
*Ensure adherence to school policies, including safeguarding and behavioral standards.
*Supervise students during break times and lunchtimes, ensuring their safety and well-being.
*Provide constructive feedback to teaching staff on student progress, engagement, and behavior.
*Assist with setting up resources or materials needed for lessons.
*Liaise with school leadership to report any concerns or classroom issues promptly.
*Support occasional administrative tasks as needed.
Essential Skills and Experience:
*Prior experience working with children or in a school setting is preferred but not essential.
*Strong communication and classroom management skills.
*Ability to adapt quickly and work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
*Organised, proactive, and flexible attitude.
*A passion for working with young people and helping them reach their potential.
*Knowledge of safeguarding and child protection practices is desirable.
Qualifications:
*A minimum of GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths.
*Relevant experience or qualifications in education (e.g., Teaching Assistant, Cover Supervisor, or Youth Work) would be an advantage.
