Job Description:
Weare delighted to be working on behalf of a Chartered independent insurance brokerage who are seeking an ambitious and technically strong Commercial Insurance Broker to help develop and grow an existing book of business.
Products wise, the inherited book is a mixed bag - there are a few large property owner portfolios and the rest is a mixture of construction, manufacturing etc.
This is a hybrid role if required.
This is a unique opportunity to join a company in a serious phase of growth and one that will allow you to make the role your own.
You will will be expected to meet with clients face to face and you will be involved in new business development e.g. attending trade shows, networking etc.
Brokers with a client following will be able to negotiate a higher salary if required.
Salary: £45k to £65k + (dependant on experience and any client following) plus highly competitive bonus and extensive benefits including car allowance
You will ideally have over 3 years plus of experience within a commercial insurance brokerage working with a wide-variety of commercial insurance risks.
About the role:
You’ll be overseeing a book of commercial insurance clients across a range of industry sectors.
You will be a point of referral to more junior members of the team and you will use your expertise and experience to help with queries and occasional training/mentoring.
You will look to identify opportunities to grow the book through offering relevant cross sales and referral leads.

Main duties in this role:
*Responsible for growing a book of commercial clients through new business / arranging policies for new clients
*Be a point of referral within the team
*Organise daily work to ensure compliance is met at all times
*Liaise with Underwriters to help secure the retention (renewals) of clients.
*Identify new markets, schemes and other opportunities to help grow the business
The skills you’ll bring to the role:
*Thorough commercial insurance knowledge of at least 3 years in commercial insurance is required / and 3 years of overseeing a book of clients.
*Excellent written and verbal communication skills
*Strong customer service focus
*Organised and effective worker
*An aptitude for sales and new business
