Role: Part-Time SEND Teaching Assistant (3 Days)
Salary: £95 - £105 per day
Start Date: January 2025
Location: Brent, North London
Job Overview SANZA Teaching Agency is seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEND Teaching Assistant to work on a part-time basis (3 days per week) supporting a child with complex Autism in a primary school in Brent. This role focuses on providing tailored, 1:1 support to help the child access learning and develop social and emotional skills. School Information Our partner school is located in the heart of Brent, providing a warm and inclusive environment for its pupils and staff. The school has a strong focus on personalised support and offers excellent resources to cater to the needs of children with SEND. Candidate Requirements The ideal candidate will:
*Have experience working with children with complex SEND, particularly Autism, in a school setting.
*Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build positive relationships with the child, parents, and colleagues.
*Demonstrate a calm, patient, and empathetic approach to working with children with additional needs.
*Be proactive and adaptable, with the ability to tailor support to meet the child’s evolving needs.
*Hold relevant qualifications or training in SEND or child development (desirable but not essential).
Responsibilities *Provide consistent 1:1 support to a child with complex Autism, ensuring their safety and engagement throughout the school day.
*Work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to implement and monitor personalised support plans.
*Assist the child in accessing the curriculum and participating in classroom activities.
*Support the child’s social and emotional development through structured activities and positive interactions.
*Communicate regularly with parents, carers, and the school team to ensure cohesive and effective support.
