This role involves supporting students with special educational needs (SEN), particularly those on the autism spectrum, to achieve their full potential in a nurturing and inclusive environment.
Key Responsibilities:
*Provide tailored support to students with autism, adapting teaching methods to meet individual needs.
*Assist in the development and implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs).
*Foster a positive and inclusive classroom atmosphere.
*Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to ensure comprehensive support for students.
*Monitor and record student progress, providing feedback to teachers and parents.
Requirements:
*Proven experience working with SEN students, particularly those with autism.
*Relevant qualifications or training in SEN and autism (e.g., CACHE Level 3, TEACCH, PECS).
*Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
*Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for supporting students with special needs.
*Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
Desirable:
*Additional training or qualifications in SEN and autism.
*Experience with specific interventions and support strategies for autism.
