Primary Teaching Assistant
Location: Central Sheffield
Working Hours: Monday to Friday, mornings only (8:30 am - 3.30 pm)
Start Date: As soon as possible until end July 2025. May get extended or lead into permanent opportunity.
Pay Rate: £87.50-£100 per day
About the Role:
Join a dynamic team at a primary school in Sheffield, where you’ll be working with mainstream children, alongside some SEN support. This long-term role offers the opportunity to make a significant impact on the child’s educational journey, providing tailored support and fostering an environment conducive to their growth and development.
Key Responsibilities:
*Deliver support to primary aged children in Key Stage 2.
*Collaborate with the class teacher to implement and adapt learning materials.
*Foster a positive and inclusive atmosphere within the classroom.
*Monitor and record the child’s progress, providing feedback to the teaching team.
Requirements:
*Experience working with children in a primary or SEN school setting is highly advantageous.
*Empathy, patience, and a genuine passion for supporting diverse learning needs.
*Effective communication skills, both with the child and the wider school community.
*Ability to work collaboratively within a team.
