Description
As a Management Accountant you will have the following responsibilities:
*Preparation and distribution of weekly costing
*Preparation and filing of VAT returns
*Help to prepare monthly management accounts and year end accounts
*Preparation of prepayments and accruals
*Posting monthly journals
*Helping with auditors
*Balance sheet reconciliations
*Expenses and cash book reconciliation
*Analysis of financial performance and identify areas for improvement
*Assist with other areas of adhoc finance when required
Profile
In order to be successful you will need the following skills and attributes:
*An appropriate level of accounting qualification, part-qualified or qualified by experience
*Experience using accounting and financial applications
*Able to deliver results under pressure and to specific time scales
*Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
*Strong Excel skills with the ability to prepare accurate financial spreadsheets
*Ability to communicate financial knowledge to the wider team
*Able to work independently or as part of a wider team
