Job Description:
Contract Personnel Perm Division are pleased to be working with their Great Yarmouth based client who are looking for a driven Logistics Specialist to join their well rounded and successful team.
Our client is looking for a dynamic individual to support and drive initiatives within the business with all aspects of shipping and logistics.
You will ensure all customs clearance is in line with compliance procedures.
You will be responsible for the timely, cost-effective shipping of all equipment whilst adhering to standard operating procedures and policies and applicable law. With responsibility for all goods exported and imported by our client.
Other Duties and Responsibilities
*Creation of despatch/collection notes for equipment movement.
*Creation of import/export commercial invoices, packing lists and clearance instructions.
*Liaise with freight forwarders to ensure efficient shipping of equipment.
*Obtain export and import entries to complete logistical files required to satisfy audit requirements.
*Provide logistical knowledge to all parties on site and identify means of shipping equipment.
*Liaise with all Warehouse and Logistics colleagues to ensure the efficient and accurate control of imports and exports, confirming full compliance with company and legislative requirements.
*Liaise with colleagues and clients globally in relation to shipments and document control in international locations.
*Manage and resolve any logistics complexity for destination countries.
*Ability to compile import/export data related to MSS reporting
*Capable of freight procurement negotiation.
*Strong knowledge in dangerous goods (DG) handling and carrier shipping documents.
*Set-up and monitor regular goals and objectives for all OSTs, including end of year reviews. 
*Hold monthly 1:1s with each team member manage performance
*Actively promote the clients Values across the pool of OSTs. 
*Manage recruitment and interview process to fulfil personnel requirements, including contractor management
*Manage Logistics team annual leave/lieu days to ensure adequate breaks are taken
*Day to day management of Logistics team at the site, responsible for the tactical execution of logistics function.
*People development and driving the growth of skills and knowledge within the Logistics team
Desired Experience
*Proficient I.T. skills including Microsoft Excel and Outlook. 
*Able to prioritise work in a fast-paced, changing environment.
*Advanced Organisation and Planning skills.
*Meticulous attention to detail with careful and precise approach to tasks.
*Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
