Plumbing & Heating Trade Counter Assistant
This is an exciting opportunity to join a family-owned builders’ merchant as they open a new Tottenham store in March 2025.
As a Plumbing & Heating Trade Counter Assistant, you will be the first point of contact for customers, providing expert advice, processing transactions, and ensuring the smooth operation of the trade counter.
Requirements:
*Working 48.5 hours per week, shifts between 6am-5pm Monday to Friday, and alternate weekends.
*Solid understanding of plumbing materials.
*Good interpersonal skills, confident and able to approach customers.
*Ability to work effectively as part of a busy team.
*The ability to prioritise responsibilities under pressure and be self-motivated.

Responsibilities:
*Assist customers with plumbing product inquiries and provide expert advice.
*Process orders accurately, handle invoicing, and manage payments efficiently.
*Replenish stock on the shop floor and participate in regular stock counts.
*Assist with deliveries to and from the store.
*Handle telephone inquiries effectively, maintaining clear communication with customers and colleagues.
*Respond positively and promptly to customer needs.
