Job Title: Prototype Welder
Location: Leicester
Salary: Up to £14 - £16 per hour
Shift: 7:30am - 4:30pm (Mon - Thurs) 7:30am - 12:30pm (Fri)

The Prototype Welder Role:
Due to continued growth into new sectors and expansion of their largest contracts, the company is undergoing a recruitment drive of up to 15 new engineers, assigned exclusively to Optima UK.
As part of this planned growth, they are now looking to recruit a permanent Prototype Welder on their day shift.
*The Position requires someone to MIG/TIG weld to a high quality and to work at speed ensuring targets are met.
*You will be able to work to high/tight tolerances and have experience working with mild steel.
*The position is based in the prototype department making one off parts.
The Candidate:
*Over 12 months experience as a Welder
*Read blueprints and drawings and taking measurements to plan layout and procedures
*Determine the appropriate welding equipment or method based on requirements
*Set up components for welding according to specifications knowledge of using measuring equipment to quality check work.
*Fettling and grinding sheet metal work.
*Quality check finished products.
*Record and report any issues.
*Manual handling of different tools to complete the job to the highest standards set.
