Job Description:
Our client is seeking an experience Warehouse Operative to join their growing team based in Abingdon.
About the Warehouse Operative role
This role will be responsible for fulfilling all warehouse duties to meet our customers’ demands, which can range from 10-100 shipments per day, based in our Wakefield warehouse.
Your key tasks and responsibilities will include for the Warehouse Operative :
* Selecting, preparing, and processing orders.
* Using our internal ticketing and stock system to view and record tasks.
* Processing outgoing courier and mail shipments.
* Communicating with other departments regarding shipments.
* Carrying out warehouse duties in the Warehouse * Staging of customer equipment before shipping.
* To diagnose and fault find a range of EPoS equipment.
* Assisting in the design and build of tools and equipment.
* Assisting with the operation maintenance and repair of equipment.
* Practicing and always complying with safety standards.
* Assisting in the installation, maintenance, and general support of systems.
About you
We are looking for an IT professional with strong experience in both IT repairs and warehouse operations. This role involves handling workstations, servers, printers, and network hardware, as well as managing tasks within a warehouse, such as inventory control, equipment staging, and processing shipments.
The ideal candidate for the Warehouse Operative position must have experience in organising and maintaining warehouse stock, preparing, and shipping orders, and ensuring the smooth flow of equipment for IT staging. Strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment are essential. Additionally, solid troubleshooting skills and a customer-focused mindset are key.
