Management Accountant
Location: Some hybrid working with Central London offices
Salary: £50,000 per annum
Contract: Full-time, 12-month fixed term (potential to become permanent)
Our client, a highly respected registered charity located in Central London, is seeking a proactive and skilled Management Accountant to join their finance team. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to a dynamic organisation dedicated to making a positive impact on society.
About the Role:
As a Management Accountant, you will play a crucial role in supporting management and staff teams by providing financial insights, streamlining processes, and delivering effective performance monitoring. This role offers the opportunity to build on the implementation of a new accounting system and refine financial operations in collaboration with the Financial Controller.
Key Responsibilities:
*Prepare accurate monthly management accounts.
*Perform reconciliations and maintain general ledger accounts.
*Produce variance reports and analyses, working closely with budget holders.
*Provide financial guidance to teams, ensuring confident engagement with financial policies and systems.
*Coordinate key financial functions, including cash flow, budgeting, forecasting, and annual reporting.
*Support program and project budget holders in delivering impactful initiatives.
*Collaborate with external partners to enhance financial processes.
*Assist with audits and ensure compliance with statutory requirements.
What We’re Looking For:
*Strong financial acumen with expertise in UK financial regulations and accounting principles.
*Proficiency in Excel and analytical thinking to improve financial systems and reporting.
*Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with stakeholders at all levels.
*ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualification (highly desired).
*Experience with auditing.
*Experience with Xero.
