Job Description:
A great opportunity has arisen in a distinctive and highly regarded London-based law firm who are looking for a creative and experienced Designer to join their busy marketing team in London to work initially on a 12 month fixed term contract basis.
The firm is proud to have a thoughtful, challenging and supportive culture, and to be a place where everyone, at whatever level, can thrive. Employees know each other personally, meaning they work together with more cohesion, and less formality. The successful applicant will enjoy a hands-on role, working across a broad spectrum of projects and closely collaborating with a team of three in-house designers within the wider marketing and business development department. The role will be varied and ideal for a generalist designer or artworker with experience working in a corporate or professional services firm. The successful individual will create and edit branded external marketing materials and internal communications across print and digital. You will need to be comfortable taking on day-to-day design requests with differing deadlines and priorities including using InDesign to edit a pitch document before sending it to print, switching to Canva to create a social media post for LinkedIn before moving to PowerPoint to edit a slide deck for a client training session. The Designer will also help monitor the design team inbox, edit video and audio and produce new and edit existing digital experiences.
The ideal candidate will have proven graphic design experience with a strong background in a corporate or professional services environment to include past success in dealing with shifting priorities, deadlines and deliverables. Efficient and consistent with accuracy and attention to detail, the Designer will need to demonstrate a strong sense of layout and typography design principles and will know how to layout a standard branded page of information with a clear hierarchy. Experience creating and editing slides and charts in PowerPoint and of working in InDesign, Illustrator and
Photoshop will also be essential.
Leighton Taylor promotes diversity, equality and fair treatment in all aspects of our work. It is our policy that as a provider of marketing and business development recruitment services, we will work to address existing inequalities, eliminate discrimination and promote equal opportunities and diversity.
