Job Description:
ROLE – Chemical Engineer
SALARY - £30,000- £40,000 per annum (dependent on experience)
TYPE – Permanent
LOCATION – West Berkshire (hybrid / remote working is available)
My client designs and manufactures specialist equipment for process industries. They are looking for a Chemical Process Engineer to join their team in West Berkshire on a permanent basis.
The Chemical Engineer will ideally have the following attributes: *At least 1-2 years’ relevant experience in a manufacturing environment
*Strong Design skills with the ability to design new processes
*Ideally be Degree qualified in a Chemical discipline
*Knowledge of / experienced with thermal processes
*Strong Project Management skills
*Understands 2D and 3D CAD
*Excellent problem-solving skills
*Proven ability to take a leadership role and motivate others
*Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
*Be able to work well individually as well as part of a team
Responsibilities include: *Solving problems and improving engineering processes
*Being involved in designing, implementing and overseeing project plans
*Liaising with other departments to manage such projects
*Ensuring quality and H&S standards are met
*Running trials and experiments in an R&D environment
*Design equipment layouts
*Maintaining technical documentation as required
*Keeping up to date with reports and developments in inorganic chemistry
*Pushing for constant progression for product development and manufacturing techniques
