SANZA Teaching Agency is excited to be recruiting for a Creative KS1 SEND Teacher to work with a small class of 8 children with Autism in a specialist SEN provision in Brent. Job Role: *Teaching a small class of 8 children with Autism, using creative and engaging methods to support their learning and development.
*Planning, assessing, and delivering lessons in line with each child’s Education, Health, and Care Plan (EHCP).
*Creating a positive, supportive, and engaging learning environment that is responsive to the individual needs of each student.
*Using a creative curriculum, including Music, Drama, and Arts, to enhance the learning experience and engagement of students with Autism.
*Developing strategies to support the wellbeing and personal growth of children with ASD, while promoting social interaction and independence.
*Working closely with teaching assistants and support staff to ensure the effective delivery of lessons and student progress.
*Liaising with parents, carers, and external professionals to ensure clear communication and support for students’ individual needs.
Candidate Requirements: *Qualified Teacher with QTS and experience teaching children with special educational needs, particularly Autism.
*Knowledge of ASD and complex needs, with the ability to develop and adapt teaching strategies to meet individual needs.
*A reflective and engaging classroom practitioner who can inspire and motivate pupils.
*Ability to manage behaviour positively and maintain an inclusive, supportive classroom environment.
*Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with parents, staff, and external professionals.
*Enthusiastic and creative, with a commitment to making a real impact on the lives of children with SEND.
