About the team:

The Human Resources Department is dedicated to fostering a supportive and inclusive workplace environment for all employees. It manages the bank’s most valuable asset - its people - by implementing employee value proposition strategies for recruitment, onboarding, training, employee engagement, and retention. The department is also responsible for overseeing payroll and benefits administration, ensuring compliance with legal requirements and internal policies, and promoting employee well-being

Summary of Key Purposes of the Role:

• Responsible for supporting the people team in the record management throughout the employee lifecycle.

• Responsible for providing advice and guidance in relation to day to day HR policy queries.

• Provide generalist support on HR tools, databases, MI and reporting and participation in HR projects.

Responsibilities:

• Create, maintain and update employee records, ensuring compliance with company policies and legal requirements. This includes handling confidential information with discretion and accuracy in line with GDPR.

• Support onboarding processes, including preparing contracts and supporting documents, ensuring we follow up with candidates for all documents, forms and qualifications, contract lapse reports

• Mobility and international mobility administration

• Arranging and conducting new hire inductions, conducting day 1 right to work checks

• Probation milestones and confirmation of completion

• Processing exit paperwork and offboarding processes

• Arranging exit interviews for the HRA’s

• Production of references

• Support annual appraisal process and reporting

• Job description update support

• Work closely with the payroll team to ensure accuracy in monthly payroll processing.

• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant laws and assist with internal audits and compliance tracking ensuring HR processes are compliant.

• Liaise with T&C as required on any certified person population contractual and reporting line changes, absences, probation, joiners and leavers.

• Support with annual HR policy updates.

• Support the annual fitness and propriety process.

• Act as a point of contact for employees and mangers with HR-related policy queries, and provide administrative support to ensure employee relations are handled in a timely and accurate manner.

• Process all leave of absence requests as instructed by the HRA/HRBP (maternity, paternity, shared parental leave, adoption, career break, parental leave and all flexible working requests) on the relevant systems and produce confirmation letters.

• Support HRA/HRBP with sickness process (including long term sickness cases).

• Support Subject Access Requests in conjunction with the HR, Risk, Legal, IT teams.

• Managing any adverse background screening results.

• Preparing some ER letters and any related documentation.

• Generate regular HR reports

• Assist with planning HR events, managing HR tools and databases, and implementing HR projects as assigned.

• Support the training team with mandatory training and skills based training coordination
