Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced SEND Teacher to join our dedicated on-site provision, working with two students who have an ASD (Autism Spectrum Disorder) diagnosis. This role offers the opportunity to make a significant impact on the lives of these students, providing them with the tailored support and teaching they need to succeed in a nurturing environment.
You will work closely with an experienced team of Teaching Assistants who will support you in delivering the curriculum and managing the classroom. The position requires someone who is able to plan, implement, and adapt lessons to suit the individual needs of the students, ensuring they have every opportunity to engage and learn. Strong knowledge of ASD and experience in supporting children with additional needs is essential.
Our primary school is renowned for its inclusive ethos, providing a supportive and friendly environment for both students and staff. You will be joining a community that prides itself on its strong partnerships with parents and carers, who are actively involved in the educational journey of their children. The school’s leadership team is committed to ensuring the best outcomes for all students, and the staff work closely together to provide high-quality teaching and care.
This is a full-time position on a term-by-term rolling contract, with the possibility of extension based on performance and student needs. We are looking for someone who is passionate, adaptable, and committed to delivering outstanding SEND support.
Key Responsibilities:
*Plan and deliver engaging lessons tailored to the individual needs of students with ASD
*Work closely with the SEND team and Teaching Assistants to provide consistent support
*Foster a positive, inclusive classroom environment that encourages student engagement and progress
*Communicate effectively with parents, carers, and other professionals involved in the child’s education
*Monitor and track student progress, implementing adjustments to teaching strategies as needed
Start Date: January 6th
If you are an experienced SEND teacher who is passionate about working with children with ASD and would thrive in a supportive, inclusive school environment, we would love to hear from you.
