Job Description:
We are partnered with a manufacturing organisation in Walsall who are looking for a Purchasing Manager to join them on a permanent basis. The Purchasing Manager is a leadership position, responsible for all procurement activity, operation of the purchasing functions and strategy. The successful candidate will have strong leadership skills and a background in manufacturing.

Job Description
*Responsible for overseeing and managing the purchasing strategy and operations
*Work closely with suppliers, manufacturers and internal departments to ensure the timely and cost-effective procurement of materials and services
*Build and maintain relationships with customers and suppliers
*Establish a system to qualify and evaluate vendors
*Implement agile supply chain practices
*Improve the contract review and planning process
*Manage a team of Buyers and Administrators, improve skills and performance and coach to support growth and development.

Essential Experience/Skills/Qualifications
*In depth experience working in a Purchasing Manager role or similar
*Previously worked within the manufacturing industry
*Strong leadership skills
