Job Description:
Our client is a well-established company based in Pontefract, known for its strong market presence. As the business continues to grow, they are now looking to strengthen their finance team by hiring a talented Finance Manager. This is an exciting opportunity for an ambitious finance professional to support and assist with leading the financial operations of a growing company.
Key Responsibilities:
*Oversee the preparation of accurate and timely financial statements in line with accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
*Manage cash flow, ensuring the company has sufficient liquidity to meet operational needs while identifying opportunities for improvement.
*Take charge of the budgeting and forecasting processes, collaborating with senior leadership to align financial plans with business objectives.
*Analyse financial performance and provide insights to senior management, highlighting trends, risks, and opportunities.
*Develop and implement robust financial controls and procedures to ensure compliance and accuracy across all financial operations.
*Ensure the preparation and submission of statutory accounts in compliance with all relevant regulations.
*Continuously review and improve financial processes, implementing best practices to enhance efficiency and scalability.
*Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including auditors and regulatory bodies.
*Contribute to business strategy by offering financial insights to support decision-making at senior levels.
Key Requirements:
*ACA, ACCA, or CIMA qualified would be desirable or close to being qualified
*Proven leadership experience, with the ability to manage and inspire a team.
*Strong expertise in budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
*Proficient in financial software and Microsoft Excel.
*Strong communication skills, with a proactive approach to problem-solving and decision-making.
