Job Overview
The Retention Sales Specialist (B2B) is responsible for maintaining and strengthening relationships with existing business clients. The role focuses on retaining current accounts, minimizing churn, and identifying upsell or cross-sell opportunities. The ideal candidate combines sales acumen, excellent communication skills, and a deep understanding of client needs to deliver exceptional service and results.
Key Responsibilities
*Client Retention: *Proactively engage with clients to ensure satisfaction and identify risks of churn.
*Develop tailored retention strategies for at-risk clients.
*Resolve customer concerns effectively and in a timely manner.
*Account Growth: *Identify opportunities for upselling or cross-selling additional products or services.
*Present solutions that align with the client’s needs and objectives.
*Meet or exceed retention and sales targets.
*Relationship Management: *Build and maintain long-term relationships with key decision-makers in client organizations.
*Serve as the primary point of contact for all retention-related matters.
*Regularly check in with clients to understand their evolving needs.
*Data and Reporting: *Track and analyze client interactions, trends, and performance metrics using CRM tools.
*Prepare reports on retention rates, churn risk, and account health.
*Provide feedback to internal teams to improve customer experience.
*Collaboration: *Work closely with customer success, product, and marketing teams to address client concerns.
*Partner with sales teams to transition clients from acquisition to retention stages.
Key Skills and Qualifications

*Proven experience in B2B sales, retention, or account management.
*Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
*Demonstrated ability to meet or exceed retention and sales targets.
