About The Role :
We are seeking a passionate Humanities Teacher to work at a welcoming SEN School based in Cambridge. In this rewarding role, you will deliver engaging Humanities lessons in subjects such as History, Geography, and Religious Studies to students with a range of SEN, including autism, learning difficulties, and emotional and behavioural challenges. Key Responsibilities:
*Plan and deliver high-quality, differentiated Humanities lessons to small groups or one-to-one, ensuring lessons meet the individual needs of students.
*Foster an inclusive and nurturing classroom environment that encourages learning, independence, and personal growth.
*Assess and track student progress, providing timely feedback and setting realistic, achievable goals.
*Work closely with colleagues, parents, and external professionals to support the overall development of each student.
*Contribute to the development of school policies and strategies that promote inclusion and well-being for all students.
What We’re Looking For:
*A qualified teacher with a degree in Humanities or a related field, and a passion for teaching.
*Experience working with students with Special Educational Needs, especially in a SEN or inclusive setting.
*A deep understanding of SEN, including autism spectrum disorders, learning difficulties, and behavioural challenges.
*DBS (or the willingness to apply)
*Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
