Location: Ashford, South-East England
Rate: Up to £38 per hour
Contract Type: Temporary / Full-Time
About the Role
We’re seeking passionate Social Workers to join the Children’s Social Work Team (CSWT) in Ashford. This role is your opportunity to make a lasting difference in the lives of children and families, working within a supportive and dynamic team environment.

Key Responsibilities
- Caseload Management: Handle complex cases, including assessments, reviews, welfare reports, and court attendance.
- Collaboration: Build strong partnerships with children, families, and multi-agency professionals.
- Child Protection: Conduct investigations, create SMART plans, and actively contribute to safeguarding efforts.
- Recording & Reporting: Maintain accurate case records and produce high-quality reports in line with statutory guidelines.
- Learning & Development: Stay updated on legislation, policies, and best practices through continuous training and reflective practice.
- Innovative Practice: Use systemic models such as Signs of Safety to inform your approach and deliver high-quality interventions.
About You
We’re looking for dedicated professionals who bring a blend of experience, knowledge, and passion:
Qualifications:
- Degree in Social Work (Dip HE/Degree or Post Grad).
- Registration with Social Work England (SWE).
- Completion of ASYE (if more than 2 years post-qualified).
Experience:
- Relevant practice experience in Children and Families services.
- Proven ability to deliver systemic practice and interventions.
- Experience working with Looked After Children, Children in Need, and Child Protection cases.
Skills & Abilities:
- Strong interpersonal skills to build relationships and promote change.
- Ability to conduct high-quality assessments and write detailed reports.
- Effective in working independently and as part of a team.
- Knowledge of child development, attachment theory, and family court proceedings.
