Social Worker – Child in Need / Child Protection
Location: Halton, UK
Pay Rate: Up to £45.34 per hour
Contract Type: Temporary / Contract
Hours: Full-time
About the Role:
Myn is recruiting for our trusted partner in Halton, seeking an experienced Social Worker to join their Child in Need / Child Protection Team. In this vital role, you’ll be at the forefront of safeguarding children and supporting families in need. Your work will ensure the safety, development, and well-being of vulnerable children while working collaboratively within a multi-agency framework.
Key Responsibilities: *Manage a diverse caseload of Child in Need and Child Protection cases.
*Conduct timely assessments and create clear, evidence-based plans to support children and families.
*Undertake child protection investigations and participate in Child Protection Conferences.
*Work closely with children, families, and multi-agency partners to deliver effective and impactful interventions.
*Prepare and present comprehensive reports for court proceedings when required.
*Maintain accurate and up-to-date case files in line with statutory requirements.
*Ensure timely and appropriate actions to safeguard children and promote their welfare.
What We’re Looking For:
Qualifications: *Degree/Diploma in Social Work or an equivalent recognised qualification.
*Registered with Social Work England (SWE).
Experience: *Demonstrable experience working within Child in Need or Child Protection teams.
*A solid background in child safeguarding and multi-agency collaboration.
Skills and Knowledge: *Deep understanding of relevant legislation, policies, and procedures.
*Excellent communication skills to engage effectively with children, families, and professional partners.
*Proven ability to manage a challenging caseload and make sound professional decisions under pressure.
*Strong case recording and report writing skills for professional and legal purposes.
