Job Description:
Role: Health & Safety Officer
Location: Leicester
Salary: £Neg dependent upon experience
Inizio Engage are working closely with a client who is seeking a Health & Safety Office for their SME Manufacturing business in Leicester. This position is a key role to the business and requires NEBOSH or IOSH qualification of the successful candidate.
Key Responsibilities:
*Develop, implement and manage all health and safety policies and procedures
*Conduct risk assessments, safety audits and site inspections to identify and mitigate hazards
*Preventative measures regarding accidents and investigations
*Health and Safety compliance and regulations are met to industry standards
*Liaise with regulatory bodies on all health and safety matters
*Lead safety training programs and workshops
*Investigate accidents, incidents, preparing reports and recommendations of corrective actions
*Employee wellbeing, working closely with the HR Team
*Collaborate with senior management, promoting the importance of health and safety
Skills Required:
The successful candidate must have NEBOSH, IOSH or equivalent certification
*A good understanding of occupational health, COSSH, WEEERegs and DSEAR
*Experience of working within Health and Safety in a Manufacturing environment
*Strong understanding of all health and safety regulations
*Attention to detail, proactive approach, leadership ability
*Problem solving skills and a confident manner to be able to liaise with people at all levels
*Good PC Skills
*Hours of Work are Monday to Friday 7am to 3.30pm
