Job Description:
Gleeson has been partnered with a National Business looking for a Quality Engineer to join them in further development of the business and its services to customers.
The opportunity will allow the professional to grow in a fast-moving business with a good level of autonomy and growth options.
Job Title: Quality Engineer
Salary: £40,000 +
Bonus
Work Type : Hybrid
Locations: South Birmingham
Duties:
*Implement processes to verify quality before launch and approve samples across development stages.
*Ensure products meet industry, legal, and company standards.
*Define specifications, assess suppliers, and ensure consistent manufacturing.
*Provide quality assurance for product, packaging, and manufacturing processes.
*Support the business in ESG and sustainability goals.
*Assist buyers with product technology expertise.
*Collaborate on packaging improvements and enforce artwork compliance with legal and brand standards.
*Conduct risk assessments, focusing on Own Brand products.
*Analyse feedback and complaints, conduct root cause analysis, and plan corrective actions.
*Engage in UK, Europe, and Asia travel to support development and sourcing.
*Work with teams like supply chain, and marketing to improve quality and customer experience.
*Implementation of Continuous improvement
Ideal Candidate:
*Degree in Engineering, Product Design, or equivalent experience.
*Experience within in product development or quality assurance
*Knowledge of ISO 9000 principles, manufacturing, and quality systems.
*Previous Quality Experience
