Job Description:
SEN Teaching Assistant
• Location: Sutton
• Job Type: Full Time
• Salary: Negotiable Rates
Join our dedicated team as an SEN Teaching Assistant, providing compassionate and tailored support to students with special educational needs in a school based in Sutton for January 2025 start. This role offers the opportunity to make a significant impact on students’ lives, working closely with teachers and other support staff. Day-to-day of the role:
• Providing one-on-one and small group support to students with SEN
• Assisting teachers in the delivery of lessons and adapting materials as needed
• Supporting students with physical and personal care, as required
• Monitoring and recording student progress and communicating this to teachers and parents
• Participating in team meetings and professional development opportunities
Required Skills and Qualifications:
• A minimum of a Level 2 qualification in SEN support (e.g. NVQ, CACHE)
• Experience working with students with SEN, either in a paid or voluntary capacity
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• A patient and supportive approach
