Interim Head of Finance | SME Retailer | £500-£600 per day | London (3 days per week in the office) | 3-6 month contract role
JasperRose is partnering with a £20 million turnover fashion retail brand, which is looking for a Interim Head of Finance to cover whilst they recruit permanently on a 3-6 month contract. The role will start in January and will be required in their Central London office 3 days per week. This is an opportunity to join a well-known brand, that is predominantly ecommerce focused and that has doubled its turnover in the past 3 years.
Reporting directly to the CFO, you will lead the finance team of 3 and take ownership for the financial control & reporting for the business as well as commercial finance and planning. You will support with several projects including enhancing the Netsuite system and setting up new entities internationally.
Responsibilities include:
*Managing and developing a team of 3 in finance
*Leading the year-end and audit in Q1 2025
*Oversight of the monthly management accounts, board reports and presenting commentary to key stakeholders
*Responsibility for the budgeting and forecasting for the business and business partnering with departmental heads on budgets vs actuals
*Management of the cashflow forecasting including FX management
*Project based work including looking at ways to enhance the NetSuite system
*Overseeing all tax related matters including VAT and PAYE and management of the monthly payroll
Skill set required
The successful candidate will be a Qualified Accountant with experience working in the fashion retail sector as a number 2 in finance. You will have ideally worked in a SME business where you have had to be hands on in your day to day role yet commercially and strategically focused. The ability to lead the audit and manage cashflow across the business is the key to the success of this role. Knowledge of Netsuite is preferred but not essential. You will be able to build relationships quickly, able to identify ways to improve the financial controls and be a strong people manager to be considered.
