The Role :
We are looking for a passionate Teaching Assistant to work at a welcoming SEN School based in Thetford. This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a role where your efforts will directly contribute to the success and well-being of children with special educational needs. As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will help manage the classroom behaviour and ensure a positive learning environment and support students with personal care and mobility as needed.

Your Responsibilities:
*Tailor support to address the unique learning requirements of students with SEN.
*Collaborate closely with teachers and support staff to foster an inclusive and supportive classroom environment.
*Assist in maintaining classroom order, fostering a positive and stimulating learning atmosphere.
*Establish effective communication with parents, teachers, and external professionals.
*Regularly monitor and evaluate the academic and social progress of students with SEN.
*Adapt teaching materials and resources to accommodate diverse learning needs.
Requirements:
*Experience working or volunteering with SEND children (preferably with autism/ADHD experience).
*Strong behaviour management skills.
*Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
*Caring and empathetic personality.
*Commitment to safeguarding children.
*A DBS on the update service or willingness to obtain one.
