Catering Assistant 
Location: Chandlers Ford
Hours of work :7am to 3.30pm Monday to Friday
Salary : £25000
Duration : Please note that this is a temporary position to begin with but could lead to a permanent position for the right person
Start Date : Immediate start
 
Dynamite recruitment is currently working in partnership with a very well-established business who have multiple sites up and down the country.
Due to the offices becoming busier our client has opened their onsite Canteen again and is now looking for a Catering Assistant / Food Service Assistant to join the Catering team asap.
 
As a Catering Assistant / Food service Assistant you will be working closely with head Chef and catering team to support with a smooth running of a busy Canteen

 
As a Catering Assistant you will be required to :
*Assist Customers with their needs.
*Support then Head Chef and step in to assist with cooking where required – to cover holidays.
*To assist on the tills
*To help serve food.
*To actively gain customer feedback, passing information gained onto your line manager.
*To report health and safety issues to your line manager, including all accidents and near misses
*To operate machinery as shown and trained to do so, ensuring that the equipment is used safely and in accordance with regulations and company policy.
*To serve customers with hot and cold food and beverages on a counter during service times
*To ensure all displays, counters and seating areas are clean and comply with statutory health and hygiene requirements.
*To assist in the preparation of food as required
*To clean all work areas during and after use and remove all waste to the appropriate are.
*To maintain temperature records as required and to report any variance.
*To open Kitchen and prep for Breakfast service
 
The ideal Catering Assistant / Food Service Assistant will have / be.
*Available to start asap.
*Will ideally have assisted in a Catering role/ Kitchen previously.
*Be willing to train and adjust to positions as and when needed.
*Good communication skills in order to be able to liaise with a wide range of team members and customers.
*Customer service focused.
*Self-motivated and able to use own initiative.
*Able to work under pressure whilst maintaining a positive attitude.
*Able to follow instruction clearly.
*Attention to detail and completing tasks to a high standard.
*Working in a fast-paced customer facing environment
*A food hygiene certificate is preferred but isnt essential
