Job Description:
Tax Senior / Assistant Manager - Newcastle Upon Tyne
The Firm:
A well established local accountancy practice with a strong client base and market presence in the SME and Owner Managed Business sector are looking to attract a Tax Senior or Tax Assistant Manager to join their growing team in Newcastle city centre as they embark on an ambitious yet exciting growth plan.
The Brief:
As part of an established and experienced tax team you will be involved in delivery of tax compliance and advisory services for a portfolio of HNWI and entrepreneurial businesses across the region.
The Role:
This is a great opportunity for someone looking to advance their career in tax, perhaps after completing their ATT qualification and keen to further grow their knowledge with the support of more technically experienced tax professionals.
*Manage a portfolio of HNWI’s, Partnerships and Directors for their tax returns.
*Prepare income, P11D, and corporation tax returns from a variety of systems including CCH and Iris.
*Prepare dividend paperwork.
*Research basic tax planning issues working alongside the Tax Manager.
*Action queries raised by tax colleagues on the draft tax returns and computations.
*Act as a point of contact for clients for ad hoc queries.
*Support more juniors in the team with their tax compliance
*Attend client meetings with Director /Partner gaining client exposure and advisory experience.
Experience Required:
We are looking for a tax professional who is ATT qualified (or equivalent) with a minimum of two years experience working in either personal or corporate tax or mixed. Applicants must have excellent communication skills and be comfortable liaising with clients either face to face or over the telephone. You will be confident with systems able to work with tax platforms and excel.
We are keen to attract an ambitious individual who is looknig to develop their knowledge and is hungry to work with clients. You must have the ability to work to accuracy with good attention to detail.
