Job Title: GCSE & Functional Skills Maths Teacher (SEN)
Location: Headingley, Leeds
Job Type: Part-Time (2 days per week)
Salary: £12,737 per annum
About Us: Reed Further Education are working with a leading SEN-based educational institution committed to providing exceptional learning experiences for students aged 16+.
Key Responsibilities:
*Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging and effective maths lessons tailored to the needs of SEN students.
*Develop and implement a curriculum that meets educational standards and caters to the diverse needs of students.
*Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback and support.
*Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student participation and fosters a love for mathematics.
*Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and the wider school community to support student learning and development.
*Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current with best practices in SEN education.
Qualifications:
*Bachelor’s degree in mathematics, Education, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
*Teaching certification.
*Proven experience teaching mathematics, preferably with SEN students.
*Strong knowledge of mathematical concepts and effective teaching strategies.
*Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
*Commitment to continuous professional growth and development.
