Job Description:
We are seeking an Electrical Assembly Operative to join a leading manufacturing team in Brighton. This role is ideal for someone who has a keen interest in electronics and assembly processes, and who thrives in a detailed and hands-on work environment.
Day-to-day of the role: *Assemble electrical or electronic systems and support structures; installing components, units, subassemblies, wiring, and assembly casings, using rivets, bolts, soldering and micro-welding equipment.
*Read and interpret schematic drawings, diagrams, blueprints, specifications, work orders, and reports to determine materials requirements and assembly instructions.
*Adjust, repair, or replace electrical or electronic component parts to correct defects and to ensure conformance to specifications.
*Position, align, and adjust workpieces and electrical parts to facilitate wiring and assembly.
*Conduct tests and inspections of products, services, or processes to evaluate quality or performance.
*Maintain a clean and organised work area to facilitate manufacturing functions.
Required Skills & Qualifications: *Proven experience as an Electrical Assembly Operative or in a similar role.
*Familiarity with electronic assembly and tools used in the assembly process.
*Ability to read and understand technical documents and drawings.
*Good manual dexterity and eye-hand coordination.
*Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
*Effective communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.
